Thousands Gather at Dargah Hazratbal to Observe Shab-e-Mehraj (SAW)

Srinagar, January 28 – Devotees in large numbers thronged the revered Dargah Hazratbal on the occasion of Shab-e-Mehraj (The Night of Ascension), one of the most significant nights in Islamic history.

The night, which commemorates the miraculous journey of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) from Masjid al-Haram in Mecca to Masjid al-Aqsa in Jerusalem and then to the heavens, was marked with devotion and fervor.
