In a significant political development in Srinagar, several influential residents from the Lal Chowk Assembly Constituency formally joined the Indian National Congress today, signaling a strategic reinforcement of the party’s local presence.

The induction event, thoughtfully organized by Congress leader and Kashmir Media Coordinator Dr. Audil Farooq Mir Lasjan, marked a key moment in the party’s efforts to expand its grassroots footprint in the region.

The ceremony saw participation from senior party figures, including Srinagar District President Irfan Naqib and senior district leader Er. Danish Reshi, both of whom warmly welcomed the new members into the party fold.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Audil underscored the importance of community-focused political work.

District President Irfan Naqib echoed this sentiment, reaffirming the party’s commitment to long-term democratic development.

“Our priority is to build strong civic institutions from the ground up, not to chase fleeting headlines with empty promises,” he noted.

In his message to the new entrants, Dr. Audil called for ongoing grassroots involvement.“I urge all of you joining us today to remain continuously engaged in your communities—not just during election seasons, but every day. True leadership is rooted in constant presence and service,” he emphasized.
