New Delhi, May 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has instructed the Indian armed forces to respond with full force to any cross-border aggression from Pakistan, according to sources. Modi reportedly said, “If bullets are fired from there, bombs will be fired from here,” emphasizing a strong retaliatory stance.

Sources confirmed that Operation Sindoorโ€”launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack on May 7โ€”is ongoing and not nearing completion. They added that the trigger for the intensified action was attacks on Indian air bases.

Reiterating Indiaโ€™s firm position on Kashmir, sources said that New Delhi views Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) as the only unresolved issue and that India does not require or accept any third-party mediation. Discussions on ending military operations will only take place through DGMO-level talks between India and Pakistan.

The Indian Air Force (IAF), via its official post on X, stated that it had carried out its assigned objectives under Operation Sindoor with โ€œprecisionโ€ and โ€œprofessionalism.โ€ However, the operations are still underway and a detailed briefing will be held later.

The IAF also appealed to the public to avoid speculation and spreading unverified information. Operation Sindoor was aimed at targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK following the deadly Pahalgam attack.
