Jammu, May 25: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reaffirmed the administrationโs unwavering resolve to eliminate terrorism from Jammu and Kashmir, issuing a strong warning to Pakistan during his address at the All J&K Jat Sabha in Jammu.
โPakistan has been warned. Any future misadventure will result in decisive retaliation by our armed forces. There will be no distinction between terrorists, their supporters, or sympathisersโeveryone will be held accountable,โ Sinha declared.
He cited the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 civilian lives as a painful reminder of the threat, adding that the Indian Army’s swift responseโOperation Sindoorโneutralized over 100 terrorists and demolished nine terror camps across the border within 15 days. He emphasized that the operation will continue until terrorism is completely eradicated from the region.
Sinha warned that any further acts of terrorism by Pakistan would be treated as acts of war, highlighting Indiaโs precise retaliatory strikes on May 6โ7 that eliminated nine terror bases without civilian or Pakistani military casualties.
He applauded the efforts of the Indian Army, J&K Police, and Central Armed Police Forces for their coordinated and relentless anti-terror drive. โEven those in white-collar positions spreading hatred will face justice,โ he added.
Commending the Jat community for its patriotic role, particularly in border regions, Sinha praised their courage, sacrifice, and commitment to national unity. He urged all communities to stand united against forces trying to disrupt peace and harmony.
โThe Jat community is the backbone of our borders and national pride,โ he said, encouraging unity in diversity and collective action against divisive elements.
Lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, the LG credited them for empowering J&K and marginalized communities through inclusive governance. He reiterated his administrationโs commitment to the Jat communityโs welfare.
Sinha also stressed the need for safety measures in border villages, including the construction of community bunkers and integrating safe spaces into new home designs. He mentioned Baramullaโs cost-effective bunker model as one to emulate.
For families affected by recent terror attacks, Sinha announced compensation of โน10 lakh from the J&K government and โน6 lakh from the Union Home Ministry, along with rehabilitation support for the injured and displaced.
Reflecting on Indiaโs growth, he noted its rise as the worldโs fourth-largest economy and its trajectory toward becoming the third, symbolizing the nation’s strength and resilience.
Remembering social reformer Sir Chhotu Ram, Sinha praised the Jat communityโs legacy of patriotism, calling them an inspiration in the nationโs journey toward peace, unity, and development.
The event saw participation from political leaders, including Vikram Randhawa, Sukhnandan Choudhary, Manjit Singh, Taranjit Singh Tony, and other prominent citizens and members of the All J&K Jat Sabha.
