Srinagar – A man from Budgam district lost his life following a scuffle over a land dispute in Pohru village of Nowgam on Tuesday, officials said.

According to an official, the confrontation erupted between two parties over a land issue, during which Ghulam Rasool Rather, son of Sonaullah Rather from Ichigam Budgam, sustained a severe head injury.

He was rushed to District Hospital Pampore but was declared dead on arrival by doctors.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
