A seven-member, cross-party parliamentary delegation will visit several key partner countries later this month as part of Indiaโ€™s diplomatic outreach following Operation Sindoor and the ongoing efforts to combat cross-border terrorism.

The delegation includes prominent Members of Parliament from various political parties: Shashi Tharoor (Congress), Ravi Shankar Prasad and Baijayant Panda (BJP), Sanjay Kumar Jha (JDU), Kanimozhi Karunanidhi (DMK), Supriya Sule (NCP – SP), and Shrikant Eknath Shinde (Shiv Sena).

Announcing the move on X, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju emphasized national unity in the fight against terrorism.

“In moments that matter most, Bharat stands united. Seven All-Party Delegations will soon visit key partner nations, carrying our shared message of zero tolerance to terrorism โ€” a powerful reflection of national unity above politics, beyond differences,” he posted.

The mission aims to showcase Indiaโ€™s bipartisan resolve against terrorism in all its forms, particularly in light of recent attacks linked to Pakistan-based groups. Each delegation will include MPs, political leaders, and senior diplomats to ensure wide representation.

The 10-day diplomatic tour is scheduled to begin on May 23, with planned visits to major world capitals including Washington D.C., London, Abu Dhabi, Pretoria, and Tokyo.

This marks the first time that the Indian government is sending an all-party group of MPs abroad to present a unified stance on Kashmir and cross-border terrorism.

Kiren Rijiju, also overseeing Parliamentary Affairs, is coordinating the mission, which is seen as a landmark effort in India’s international counterterrorism advocacy.

The tour follows Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives. India conducted precision strikes on May 7 targeting terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK), resulting in the elimination of over 100 militants.
