Srinagar, April 12: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Sakeena Itoo, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic Handwara road accident that claimed the life of a young student, Tabassum Mushtaq, and injured several others.
Extending her heartfelt condolences, the Minister said her thoughts are with Tabassum’s family during this painful time and prayed for strength for them to cope with the loss.
She directed the Director of SKIMS, Principal of GMC Handwara, Director of Health Services Kashmir, and the CMO Kupwara to ensure the injured students receive the best possible medical care. She also instructed the Director SKIMS to personally oversee the treatment of critically injured students and ensure effective care.
Additionally, the Minister urged all concerned hospital administrations to prioritize the treatment of the injured and extend full support to the affected families.
