Ganderbal, May 25: In the wake of heightened security concerns following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, the Dharma Trust has appealed to devotees to attend the upcoming Annual Kheerbhawani Mela in Ganderbal without fear.
Scheduled for June 3 at the revered Mata Kheerbhawani temple in Tullamulla, the mela is a major religious gathering for the Kashmiri Pandit community, drawing thousands of pilgrims from across India.
Reassuring the public, the Dharma Trust urged devotees not to be discouraged by fear. โMata will protect her devotees,โ said the temple manager, as preparations and shrine cleaning continue. โThere is no need for panic. We welcome everyone to seek Mata Kheerbhawaniโs blessings and allow us the privilege of serving you.โ
This year, the Trust is making special efforts to encourage wider participation, emphasizing faith and resilience over fear. The appeal also underlines the commitment to maintaining the spiritual sanctity of the festival.
Local administration is expected to implement comprehensive security measures to ensure the safety and well-being of attendees throughout the event.
The Kheerbhawani Mela is not only a religious occasion but also a symbol of cultural and spiritual unity in the region. The Dharma Trust hopes for a strong turnout this year, reaffirming the unbroken connection between devotees and their faith.
