Ganderbal, June 01: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, warmly welcomed devotees arriving at the sacred Kheer Bhavani shrine in Tullamulla for the annual Mata Kheer Bhavani Mela on Sunday. The pilgrims were greeted with traditional hospitality, including garlands and flowers, reflecting the regionโ€™s values of harmony, brotherhood, and cultural warmth.

 

While interacting with the devotees, the DC extended his best wishes for a safe and spiritually enriching pilgrimage. He expressed satisfaction with the smooth start of the Mela and highlighted its cultural and spiritual importance for the people of Jammu & Kashmir and beyond.

 

Kishore stated that comprehensive preparations had been made by the district administration to ensure a comfortable and well-organized experience for the devotees. These include arranged accommodations, bedding for overnight stays, clean toilet facilities, round-the-clock sanitation, organized parking, langars (community kitchens), and drinking water stations. Medical support, including ambulances and health teams, is on standby, and mobile ATMs have also been made available for financial ease.

 

Enhanced cleanliness and safety measures have been put in place throughout the shrine premises. Security personnel and surveillance systems are active to ensure order and the wellbeing of all visitors. The DC commended the efforts of various departments and urged them to maintain high standards of service and coordination throughout the festival.
