Awantipora, May 30: The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIED) at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) organized an insightful session on Entrepreneurial Leadership at Campus-III. The session featured Mr. Bharat Wakhlo, Co-Founder of the Foundation for Peace and Compassionate Leadership, as the main speaker. He shared valuable perspectives on developing entrepreneurial leadership skills, aiming to motivate students and aspiring entrepreneurs to adopt dynamic and purpose-driven leadership styles.

The event was inaugurated by Prof. Parvaiz A Mir, Director of CIED-IUST, and attended by Mr. Sameer Wazir, Finance Officer of IUST, Foundation members, and students from the School of Business Studies. The session encouraged active participation, with engaging discussions and questions exchanged between the audience and Mr. Wakhlo. He highlighted the significance of self-mastery for building resilience and clarity, the need for a clear vision paired with effective execution, and viewing failure as a learning opportunity. Additionally, he promoted a people-centered approach to entrepreneurship focused on understanding and meeting genuine needs.

Prof. Mir remarked that this initiative reflects CIED-IUST Foundation’s dedication to fostering entrepreneurial talent and developing future leaders equipped to tackle real-world problems with empathy and innovation.
