Sajad Lone Sparks Political Storm with Resolution on Article 370 & 35A, BJP Calls It ‘Unconstitutional’!

Srinagar, Feb 17: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday stated that the resolution submitted by Peoples Conference president Sajad Gani Lone, seeking the restoration of Article 370 and Article 35A, is unconstitutional.

“It is against the constitution as decisions taken by the Parliament cannot be reopened in the Assembly,” BJP spokesperson Sunil Sethi said while speaking to the media.

Notably, Lone has submitted a resolution in the Assembly secretariat, condemning the abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35A. He has also called for the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s pre-August 5 constitutional status.
