Amit Shah to Lead High-Level Security Review on December 19

New Delhi, Dec 14 (TGT): Union Home Minister Amit Shah will preside over a high-level security meeting in the national capital on December 19, focusing on critical security matters, particularly in Jammu and Kashmir.

The meeting will include Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha, along with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Intelligence Bureau Director Tapan Deka, Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, senior military officials, Director Generals of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and key officers from Jammu and Kashmir, including the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police.

This gathering follows a similar review meeting chaired by Shah in June, during which the implementation of the “area domination plan” and “zero terror plan” in the Kashmir Valley was discussed. These strategies have shown promising results, and Shah has urged their expansion into the Jammu region to strengthen overall security.

The meeting underscores the Central Government’s unwavering commitment, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to eradicating terrorism through innovative and coordinated strategies. Amit Shah has consistently advocated for a “zero-tolerance policy” against terrorism, emphasizing seamless collaboration between security agencies to identify and address any potential vulnerabilities.

The upcoming discussions aim to fortify the framework for swift and synchronized responses to emerging threats while enhancing safety measures across Jammu and Kashmir. Shah’s focus on a mission-driven approach continues to play a pivotal role in advancing the government’s vision of sustained peace and stability in the region.
