New Delhi, April 19: The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results of the second session of the JEE (Main) engineering entrance exam on Saturday, with 24 candidates achieving a perfect 100 NTA score. Rajasthan topped the list with the highest number of perfect scorers, and notably, one female candidate is among them.
However, the results of 110 candidates were withheld due to the use of unfair means, including submission of forged documents.
Over 9.92 lakh students appeared for this edition of the exam. NTA officials clarified that the scores are not raw marks or percentages but are normalised scores that reflect relative performance across different sessions of the exam.
The NTA score is calculated on a scale from 100 to 0, ensuring fairness in evaluation despite multiple exam shifts. These scores will be used to shortlist candidates for JEE (Advanced), the gateway to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
