Tral, Apr 6: A massive fire broke out at Shah-i-Hamdan Darul Uloom in Tral, South Kashmir, on Sunday, resulting in the tragic death of a 10-year-old boy and injuries to six others.

Officials said the fire spread rapidly, engulfing the entire building. Firefighters, with help from police and local residents, managed to control the blaze after sustained efforts. However, the seminary was completely destroyed in the incident.

The deceased has been identified as Yasir Ahmad, a resident of Karmulla Tral. Among the injured are children between the ages of 12 and 15 from different areas including Gulshanpora, Zardihard, Batagund, and Doodmarg. All injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment.

Authorities have launched an investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire.
