Srinagar, May 30 – The Inter-School Competitions in Volleyball, Kabaddi, and Kho Kho turned into a spirited celebration of youth and athleticism in Zone Dangerpora, Jammu and Kashmir’s largest educational zone. The event, hosted by High School Brath Kalan, witnessed enthusiastic participation from nearly 800 students representing various schools.

The opening ceremony welcomed teams and guests warmly. Ghulam Muhammad Naikoo, Physical Education Master of the host school, delivered an inspiring address, stressing the importance of sports in holistic education. Quoting “A sound mind in a sound body,” he emphasized that physical education plays a crucial role in developing discipline, teamwork, and character alongside academics.

Throughout the competitions, young athletes displayed remarkable skill, determination, and true sportsmanship. Organizers especially praised the Headmaster of High School Brath Kalan for providing top-notch facilities and ensuring the smooth execution of the event. Naikoo also recognized the dedicated efforts of Physical Education Teachers (PETs) across the zone, whose meticulous planning contributed to the event’s success.

The competitions will continue in the coming days, offering more students a chance to showcase their talents and reinforcing the vital role of sports in youth development.
