Srinagar, April 13: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare, and Education, Sakeena Itoo, visited SKIMS Soura and SMHS Hospital Srinagar on Saturday to check on the students injured in the recent tragic road accident in Handwara.
At SMHS Hospital, she interacted with the family of one of the injured students and held discussions with the Principal of GMC, Medical Superintendent, and attending doctors. She instructed them to closely monitor the student’s recovery and ensure she receives the best medical care available.
Sakeena Itoo then proceeded to SKIMS Soura, where she met with the family of another injured student. She assured them of full support from the government and emphasized the importance of quality treatment.
During her interaction with the Director of SKIMS, the Medical Superintendent, and medical staff, the Minister directed them to prioritize the student’s care and personally oversee the treatment process.
Highlighting the importance of the injured studentsโ recovery, she stated that their well-being is a top priority, and she has instructed the hospital teams to provide focused, compassionate medical attention to aid their healing.
