Bihar, May 30 โ€“ Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a touching moment at Patna Airport as he met 14-year-old cricket sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi and his family. The young Rajasthan Royals player has become a national star following his remarkable performances in the IPL 2025 season.

The Prime Minister shared photos of the meeting on social media platform X, praising the teenagerโ€™s talent. โ€œAt Patna airport, met the young cricketing sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi and his family. His cricketing skills are being admired all over the nation! My best wishes to him for his future endeavours,โ€ PM Modi posted.

Suryavanshiโ€™s performance this season has been nothing short of phenomenal. In just seven matches, he racked up 252 runs. His standout moment came against Gujarat Titans in Jaipur, where he smashed a blistering century โ€“ 101 runs off just 38 balls โ€“ making him the youngest player to hit a hundred in menโ€™s T20 cricket. His ton, coming off just 35 deliveries, is now the second-fastest in IPL history.

The young star broke multiple records in the process. His half-century came in just 17 balls, the fifth-fastest in the league, and he achieved the highest boundary percentage (93%) in any IPL century, with seven fours and 11 sixes. He also matched Murali Vijayโ€™s record for most sixes in an IPL innings by an Indian.

The 166-run partnership between Vaibhav and teammate Yashasvi Jaiswal became Rajasthan Royalsโ€™ highest for any wicket, surpassing the previous record of 155. Impressively, Suryavanshi reached his maiden IPL century in just his third innings, faster than any previous Indian players.

His meeting with PM Modi marks yet another milestone in the rising career of this young cricketing phenomenon, whose achievements are inspiring fans across the country.
