Srinagar, May 14: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader Zuhaib Yousf Mir visited the Guru Bazar area on Wednesday to inspect the damage caused by a recent fire that destroyed several homes.

Mir expressed his solidarity with the affected families and urged the district administration to provide immediate compensation and rehabilitation assistance to those impacted. Emphasizing the importance of fire safety, he called for the implementation of stronger safety measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

He stressed the urgent need for comprehensive action to address Srinagar’s infrastructural and safety issues, stating that the city requires focused attention. Reaffirming his commitment to the affected residents, Mir called for coordinated efforts to support recovery and protect the community going forward.
