𝐌𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐲

Jammu, Apr 17: A man was briefly detained by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district after being found moving suspiciously near Nandini Hills along the National Highway, officials said Thursday.

Identified as Mohammad Farooq from Salunian village in Poonch, he was reportedly taken into custody on Wednesday evening after allegedly receiving a few “suspicious calls from abroad.”

Authorities registered a case and conducted an inquiry, following which a magistrate ordered his release. Farooq was later handed over to his relatives, and further investigation is underway.
