Jammu, April 14: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha virtually inaugurated the manufacturing unit of Superior Polymer India Private Limited in Kathua on Sunday.
Congratulating the Superior Group of Industries on their new venture, the LG expressed optimism about the projectโs positive impact on the local economy, employment, and the broader industrial development of the region. He described the launch as a key milestone for Jammu and Kashmirโs growing manufacturing ecosystem.
โThis greenfield project will boost the mission of Aatmanirbhar J&K,โ Sinha said, reaffirming the UTโs commitment to industrial growth under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
Highlighting the initiatives taken to build a skilled workforce, Sinha said the administration has focused on empowering marginalized communities, strengthening handloom and handicraft exports, and creating an investor-friendly environment. He added that the new industrial policies and recent reforms have increased private investment and business confidence in the region.
The newly inaugurated unit, built with an investment of Rs 75 crore, is expected to create hundreds of job opportunities.
Several top officials including Vikramjit Singh (Commissioner Secretary, Industries & Commerce), Dr. Arun Kumar Manhas (Director, I&C Jammu), and key members of the Superior Group participated in the event. Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rakesh Minhas, also joined virtually.
