Jammu, April 13: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, during the Rajouri Day commemoration, urged all sections of society to unite against forces disrupting peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir.
At a tribute event in Rajouri, LG Sinha honored the sacrifices of Army personnel and civilians who played a vital role in the regionโs liberation in 1948. Joined by top military officials and civil administration, he paid homage to the courage of the martyrs, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts to eliminate terrorism and its sympathizers.
He stated that enemies continue to threaten peace by sending terrorists, and called for joint efforts by the Army, CAPFs, J&K Police, and civilians to ensure lasting peace and security.
LG Sinha also highlighted the legacy of national heroes like Lt. Ram Raghoba Rane and Brig. Mohammad Usman, whose courage continues to inspire generations. He stressed that Rajouri Day symbolizes the strength and unity of the nation and serves as a reminder of the bravery and dedication of its soldiers.
A special postal cover marking 77 years since Rajouriโs liberation was released. The event also featured a motorcycle acrobatic show and cultural performances by security forces and police personnel. Large crowds, including local leaders, officials, and families of martyrs, participated in the commemoration.
