Srinagar, May 28: The University of Kashmir (KU) partnered with the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to actively participate in the nationwide youth pledge initiative titled โ€œYuva Shakti, Bharat Ki Shakti โ€“ One Youth, One Nation, One Resolve,โ€ held on May 28 at 11:00 AM.

 

This synchronized national event, organized across five regions of India, brought students together in a collective display of patriotism, civic unity, and national pride. At KU, hundreds of students assembled to take the National Youth Pledge, reaffirming their dedication to the principles of Atmanirbhar Bharat, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, and the inclusive vision championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

 

Representing the northern region, KU students stood in solidarity with youth from across the country, demonstrating a shared commitment to the nationโ€™s unity and self-reliance. The event highlighted that patriotism transcends regional boundaries and that the youth of every corner of India play an essential role in shaping an inclusive and united future.

 

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nilofer Khan led the pledge at KU, following cultural performances and inspiring addresses by Registrar Prof. Naseer Iqbal and Dean Studentsโ€™ Welfare Prof. Pervez Ahmad.

 

Prof. Khan emphasized the importance of youth engagement in nation-building, stating, โ€œThe strength of our country lies in the unity and dedication of its youth. Initiatives like this solidify our resolve to build a vibrant and inclusive Bharat.โ€

 

The event served as a powerful message of unity in diversity, youth empowerment, and commitment toward achieving a developed India (Viksit Bharat) by 2047.
