SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns on April 15, 17, and 19 to facilitate infrastructure upgrades and installation work.

As per the Chief Engineer, Distribution KPDCL, a shutdown will take place on April 19 to install isolators at GIS Tengpora. This will impact the 33KV GIS Tengpora KP Bagh, Exhibition, and Narkara lines. Consequently, the 33/11KV Receiving Stations at KP Bagh, Jawahar Nagar, Batmaloo, Exhibition, Rajbagh, Narkara, and Gangbugh will remain without power from 11:00 AM to 05:00 PM. Areas fed by these stations will experience outages during the period.

In addition, to stabilize the 11KV Feeder 04 Mughal Masjid from Sazgaripora to Aali Masjid for powering the STP Plant at Ali Jan Road, shutdowns of the 33KV Khanyar Line will be carried out. This will affect the 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Khanyar, Rainawari, and Takenwari, leading to power cuts in Miskeen Bagh, Rosebal, Hazaribagh, Kondebal, Hasanabad, Jogi Lankar, Palpora, Sangam, JLNM Hospital, and surrounding localities from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on April 15, 17, and 19.

Likewise, shutdown of the 33KV Bagh-i-Ali Mardan Khanโ€“Takenwari Line under STD-I is scheduled on the same dates, affecting power supply in Fateh Kadal, Khayam, Khankahi Mohalla, and nearby areas, with receiving stations at Khanyar, Rainawari, and Takenwari remaining off from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM.
