Srinagar, June 04: Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board, Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, paid respects at the shrine of Hazrat Noor-ud-din Nooraani (RA) in Chrar-e-Sharief and reviewed the arrangements for Eid celebrations. She laid the foundation stone for a new Guest House to be built within the shrine complex by the J&K Waqf Board. Dr. Andrabi also inaugurated a newly constructed canopy at Darbar-e-Aaliya. Accompanied by Waqf Board members Dr. Ghulam Nabi Haleem, Syed Mohammed Hussain Haqqani, and Executive Magistrate Ishtiyaq Mohiuddin, she then visited Pakharpora. There, after paying homage at the shrine of Hazrat Baba Aala Ali Balkhi (RA), she laid the foundation stone for the Ladies Sabat Complex and a new Male/Female Sanitary Complex. She also initiated the upgrading of the shrine sanctum’s BWO paneling and polishing. Additionally, Dr. Andrabi dedicated the newly built 40-unit ablution block for males and females at the shrine.

During her visit, Dr. Darakhshan met with public delegations and spoke to the media at both locations. She emphasized that the Waqf Boardโ€™s development projects are ongoing and highlighted the publicโ€™s strong demand for a Guest House at the significant spiritual site of Chrar-e-Sharief. She stated that this project, similar to the one at Hazratbal Dargah in Srinagar, will provide essential accommodation for visitors. Dr. Darakhshan affirmed that development has become a hallmark of the J&K Waqf Boardโ€™s efforts.
