Srinagar, May 07: The Jammu and Kashmir government has implemented a significant reshuffle in the police department, with several senior officers being transferred and reassigned to new roles. According to a notification from the J&K Home Department, Uttam Chand, IPS, currently holding the position of IG (POS) HQ, will now take on the additional responsibilities of IGP (Hqrs) PHQ, J&K, IG (Tech), and IG (Telecom), replacing M. Suleman Choudhary, IPS, who has been relieved of the additional duties.

Vinod Kumar, IPS, the DIG Armed in Jammu, has been given the additional charge of DIG IR Jammu, while Mohd. Arshad, JKPS, Director of Home-guards in Jammu, will also serve as DIG HG/CD & SDRF, Jammu.

In other appointments, Hariprasad K.K., IPS, who was awaiting adjustment, has been posted as Additional SP Baramulla, and Kartik Shrotriya, IPS, also awaiting adjustment, will take over as Additional SP Anantnag, succeeding Sajad Ahmad Sheikh.

Mukund Tibrewal, IPS, will now serve as SP OPS Border & Kandi Kathua, while Sajad Ahmad Sheikh has been transferred to the position of SP CTC Lethpora (Vice Principal). Additionally, Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, formerly Additional SP Anantnag (Over All Reserve post), has been reassigned as Dy.CO IR-23, replacing Rameez Raja.
