“The epicentres of terrorism are no longer untouchable. Our zero tolerance for terrorism is now evident in our actions,” he said, pointing out that Indiaโs response to recent attacks demonstrates a stronger national resolve than in the past, including post-26/11 Mumbai.
Jaishankar also drew attention to global issues affecting the Global South, highlighting how the COVID-19 pandemic and the Ukraine conflict exposed vulnerabilities in health and energy security, as well as food and fertilizer supply chains.
He called for stronger international cooperation in a pluralistic world and reiterated India’s commitment to the principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family). He reaffirmed Indiaโs advocacy for the Global South, emphasizing shared challenges and aspirations.
