New Delhi, May 10: India on Saturday firmly rejected Pakistan’s accusations that it had fired missiles toward Afghanistan, dismissing the claims as “frivolous and false.”

Speaking at a joint media briefing, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri accused Pakistan of spreading misinformation to mislead the international community. “Don’t be misled by these false narratives,” Misri urged.

He refuted Pakistan’s assertions that Indian Air Force bases, including the S-400 system at Adampur, had been destroyed in attacks. “These claims are completely fabricated. Our air defense systems are fully functional, and no such incident has taken place,” he clarified.

Misri also condemned Pakistan’s continued attacks on civilian infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. “This morning’s indiscriminate shelling in Rajouri claimed the lives of an Additional District Development Commissioner and other civilians,” he said.

He further denounced Pakistan for targeting areas near religious sites, describing such actions as deliberate attempts to spread fear and division. “Let me assure you, they will not succeed,” Misri emphasized.
