Ganderbal, May 30: Ahead of the upcoming Mata Kheer Bhawani Mela-2025, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, conducted a thorough on-site inspection at the Kheer Bhawani Temple in Tulmulla to review preparations for the smooth and hassle-free conduct of the religious festival.

 

The annual Mela, scheduled for June 3 on the auspicious day of Jyeshtha Ashtami, is expected to attract a large number of devotees from across the country.

 

During his visit, the DC examined arrangements related to accommodation, sanitation, logistics, security, and other essential facilities for the pilgrims. He toured the temple complex and issued immediate instructions to ensure all necessary amenities are in place for the devotees visiting the sacred shrine.

 

Stressing the need for effective coordination, the DC instructed all relevant departments to guarantee the availability of essential services and implement a foolproof plan for the peaceful and smooth running of the festival.

 

Earlier, the DC also inspected the Central University Kashmir campus at Tulmulla, designated as a lodging site for devotees during the Mela. He reviewed provisions for overnight stays, including bedding, sanitation, adequate toilets, security, parking, and langar arrangements.

 

Officials were directed to ensure that pilgrims experience a safe, clean, and comfortable stay, with round-the-clock services available.

 

With preparations nearing completion, the district administration reiterated its commitment to delivering a peaceful, well-organized, and spiritually fulfilling Mata Kheer Bhawani Mela 2025.
