𝐆𝐂𝐎𝐄 𝐒𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐑𝐚𝐜𝐞

Srinagar, June 04: The Department of Physical Education at Government College of Education (GCOE), M.A. Road, Srinagar, organized its annual road race for men and women on Wednesday, covering the route from SKICC to Nishat Garden.

Led by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Seema Naz, the event saw around 60 athletes competing across various categories. The race was officially started by Dr. Mohammad Yasin Pir, Convenor of the College Sports Committee, in the presence of other committee members. The closing ceremony took place at Nishat Garden, where trophies and medals were awarded to the winners by Principal Dr. Seema Naz.

In her speech, Dr. Naz emphasized the importance of sports in daily life and encouraged students to participate in future events. She also praised the Physical Education Department for successfully organizing the race.

During the awards ceremony, winners in the men’s category were Hashim Nabi (UG/6th), Hyder Ali Mir (UG/2nd), and M Junaid Dar (UG/2nd). In the women’s category, Asma (B.Ed/3rd), Sehla Jan (UG/4th), and Aabirah Amin (UG/4th) were declared the top performers.
