Jammu โ Lauding Union Home Minister Amit Shahโs unwavering support and “zero-terror” policy, Jammu and Kashmir DGP Nalin Prabhat on Monday said that the terror infrastructure in the Union Territory has been dismantled, and the police will continue their efforts until terrorism is fully eradicated.
Speaking at a ceremony at Raj Bhavan where Shah handed over compassionate appointment letters to families of 11 martyrs, including 10 policemen, Prabhat said that 1,614 police personnel, among them 515 Special Police Officers (SPOs), have laid down their lives since 1989 in the fight against terrorism.
He credited Shahโs policies and strategic backing for transforming the J&K Police into a formidable force, and reaffirmed the departmentโs commitment to ensuring lasting peace in the region.
Acknowledging the sacrifices made by the police force, the DGP emphasized that the terror ecosystem has been dismantled, thanks to effective coordination with other security agencies and improved operational preparedness under Shahโs leadership.
Prabhat also expressed gratitude for the ministerโs focus on specialized training, camp security, and area domination strategies, which have further boosted the police forceโs capabilities.
