Srinagar โ€“ In a firm step to dismantle terror support systems, Budgam Police on Saturday said they have attached a vehicle belonging to a known terror associate under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), 1967.

According to a police statement, the seized vehicleโ€”an Innova (Registration No. JK01AT-7604, Engine No. EG4HJ17B4979, Chassis No. MD626EG40J1H49448)โ€”was found to be connected to a terror module. It was in the possession of Mudasir Ahmad Rather, a resident of Kantbagh Kralpora, Budgam. The action was carried out under Section 25 of the UAPA in connection with FIR No. 151/2024 at Police Station Chadoora.

The move reflects Budgam Policeโ€™s zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism and its enablers.

Law enforcement agencies reiterated their resolve to eliminate terror threats and appealed for public cooperation in preserving peace and security in the region.
