𝐁𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐚𝐦 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐠 𝐏𝐞𝐝𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐫, 𝐒𝐞𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐬

Srinagar, Apr 21: Continuing its efforts to combat drug abuse, Budgam Police have arrested a drug peddler and seized contraband from his possession. Acting on a tip-off, a police team from Chadoora intercepted a suspicious individual near Higher Secondary School Zohama. The suspect, identified as Sajad Muzaffar Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar from Surasyar Chadoora, was found in possession of approximately 270 grams of Charas.

He was taken into custody on the spot, and an FIR (No. 72/2025) has been registered under relevant legal provisions at Chadoora Police Station. Investigations are currently underway.

Police have urged the public to report any drug-related activities or other crimes to the nearest police station or by dialing 112. Authorities also appealed for community cooperation in eradicating the drug menace, assuring strict legal action against offenders.
