Srinagar, Apr 18: A massive fire broke out in Gousia Colony, Bemina on Friday evening, injuring three firefighters and damaging a madrassa and two residential houses.

According to officials, the fire started at Madrassa Sabeel-ul-Huda and quickly spread to adjacent homes. Fire and Emergency Services teams responded promptly to the scene, with local residents also assisting in controlling the flames.

“Efforts are underway to fully extinguish the blaze,” an official told JKNS, adding that the injured firefighters were taken for medical treatment.

Several fire tenders were deployed to tackle the high flames. The cause of the fire remains unknown, the official added.
