SRINAGAR, May 21: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) has officially reinstated the November session for annual regular examinations for classes 10 to 12 in the Kashmir division and the winter zone areas of Jammu division, starting from the current academic year (2025).
According to an official notification issued by the Director of Academics, the decision is based on Government Order No. 468-JK (Edu) of 2024, dated November 6, 2024, and replaces the earlier directive issued in September 2022.
Under the revised academic calendar, the academic session for Kashmir Division, Winter Zone Jammu, and the Union Territory of Ladakh will now run from 2024โ25. Annual examinations for classes 9 to 12 will be conducted in OctoberโNovember 2025, with results to be declared in January 2026.
Meanwhile, the Summer Zone of Jammu Division will adhere to the 2025โ26 session. Examinations for classes 9 to 12 in this zone will be held in MarchโApril 2026, with results announced in May 2026.
The schedule for Annual (Private)/Bi-Annual Examinations 2026 has also been finalized. These exams will take place in April 2026 for Kashmir, Winter Zone Jammu, and Ladakh, with results due in June. In the Summer Zone of Jammu, the same exams will be held in August, and results will follow in October 2026.
The restoration of the November session is aimed at aligning the examination calendar with the regionโs climatic conditions, ensuring smoother academic and logistical operations across varied zones.
