Srinagar, Apr 5: PDP leader and MLA Waheed Ur Rehman Para has sharply criticized the J&K government for defending what he described as a “deeply flawed” reservation policy in court.
Para alleged that the Cabinet Committee supposedly formed to review the policy was nothing more than a “facade” intended to mislead the public. He accused the government of trying to dismiss the petition challenging the policy, calling it a blatant effort to undermine the prospects of deserving students in the region.
He further raised concerns about the lack of transparency and fairness in the decision-making process, urging the judiciary to step in and uphold justice.
The reservation policy has faced broad criticism, with many questioning the criteria and implementation methods used by the authorities.
