Jammu, May 25: The Sports Authority of India (SAI), Jammu Centre, organized a special edition of the โ€˜Sundays on Cycleโ€™ event, bringing together prominent journalists from the cityโ€™s print and electronic media.

 

The participating media professionals were briefed on the purpose of the nationwide SOC initiative, which aims to promote an obesity-free and disease-free India by engaging various community groups. The journalists appreciated the vision of the Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, recognizing the initiativeโ€™s wide-ranging benefits for the nation.

 

The cycling event began at the SAI Training Centre (STC) in the MA Stadium complex, with journalists pedaling through key locations including Dogra Chowk, Tawi Bridge, Bikram Chowk, PHQ rotary, Jammu University, and MAM College, before returning to the starting point.

 

Participants also interacted with SAI hostel residents and shared breakfast with them. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Aman Sharma, High Performance Director and Head of SAI STC Jammu.

 

Notable journalists who took part included Vishal Bharti (UNI), Ajay Bachloo (ABP News), Arun (Amar Ujala), Ashok Sharma (Dainik Jagran), Ranjit Thakur (Daily Excelsior), Sanjeev Sharma (Sportsline), and Ashu Kumar (Northlines).
