Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment, and Tribal Affairs Minister Javed Ahmed Rana conducted a thorough visit to Line of Control (LoC) villages in the Mankote Sectorโ€”specifically Uchhad and Jhulas in Poonch districtโ€”to meet residents impacted by recent cross-border shelling.

Accompanied by SDM Mendhar Imran Kataria and senior officials from the Sub-Divisional Administration, the minister evaluated the extent of damage and personally interacted with affected families, offering his heartfelt condolences.

He instructed officials to expedite compensation distribution and ensure timely relief. Additionally, Rana reviewed infrastructure damage and called for urgent restoration efforts, stressing the importance of addressing the immediate humanitarian needs of the affected communities.

He reassured families of the government’s unwavering support and commitment to their well-being.
