Bandipora, Apr 4: Congress leader and Bandipora MLA Nizam-ud-Din Bhat stated on Friday that all legislators stand united in full support of the leader of the house.

Bhat mentioned that a meeting of lawmakers was held to discuss key political and administrative issues in Jammu and Kashmir. “We deliberated on both immediate and long-term matters impacting the people,” he said.

He noted that two senior Congress leaders were unable to attend as they were preparing for a meeting in Delhi. “I was asked to represent them,” he added.

Discussions covered topics such as the Waqf issue, the need for a popular government, and public aspirations. “We want to send a clear message—some may attempt to disrupt peace, but we remain united in safeguarding democracy,” he asserted.

Bhat emphasized that the legislature, backed by the people’s mandate, remains a credible institution. He urged all political leaders to work together to maintain peace and advance the welfare of Jammu and Kashmir.
